The library at Jingde Academy was said to be the most indestructible building in the world.

Rumour had it that it had been blessed by His Majesty the Demon God.

Students who feared typhoons, earthquakes, floods, or fires were guaranteed to be safe if they hid there.

However, no one had ever seen the Demon God, but many had seen the unassuming young librarian and his perpetually sleeping lover.

All the students treated the librarian and his lover with great respect.

When there were outsiders and new students who didn’t understand, the older students would tell them, Take a look, so how many years have passed, and yet has the librarian or his lover aged even a bit? 

They hadn't.

It's as if time had forgotten this pair of lovers.

That day, the librarian went about his usual routine, sorting books on the lower floors, before heading up to the seventh floor to check on his lover, who was basking in the sunlight.

But there, by the small wooden window, stood a figure, wearing the brand-new black robe that the librarian had put on him that morning.

The figure’s long chestnut hair, which the librarian had carefully tended to over the years, flowed smoothly down his back. Hearing the librarian's footsteps, the person turned around, and his brilliant violet eyes reflected the radiance of the entire world.

Fair skin and rosy lips—he stood there proudly, just as the librarian had once dreamt of in his youth.

But this wasn’t a dream.

Ding Sheng walked up to Dishang Huai, tilting his chin slightly to look up at him, his eyes a little red around the edges.

He said, "Dishang, you waited for me for thirty thousand years and I gave up my world for you. Can we… call it even?"

He then opened his arms to wrap them around the trembling Demon God as he whispered into his ear with a smile, "If that’s not enough, then take all of my time from now on too. I’ll give it all to you."

After more than thirty thousand years, Dishang Huai finally got to live out the scene he had dreamt of in his youth all the way till the end.

And it was even sweeter than his dream.
