Dishang Huai wanted to see Kris, but before meeting him, he thought it best to bring his princess a gift, to seek his forgiveness as much as possible.
It suddenly occurred to him what he should give to Kris.
On the banks of the ice lake, atop the Eternal Snow Peak, lay the Gem of Eternity guarded by eight heavenly dragons.
A coronation crown encrusted with that gem would be the perfect gift for his princess.
Sherry looked at him hesitantly and asked, "…My lord, for nearly ten thousand years, countless people have tried to get their hands on the Gem of Eternity, but none have succeeded… Are you sure you want to go?"
Dishang Huai got into the carriage and took one last look in the direction of his bedroom before saying in a low voice, "Yes."
On his way there, he received a message from Cece via the magic stone:
"Her Highness has woken up. She's already packed and returned to the palace. The first thing she asked after she woke up was where you were!"
Dishang Huai smiled quietly to himself.
Wait for me, my princess. Dishang Huai will surely return and make amends, no matter the cost.
